The tables below show our rates for interpretation and translation services. They do not include travel, per diem and other incidental expenses our linguists may incur in the course of an assignment. We offer substantial discounts on large-volume and long-term projects.
All rates are in U.S. dollars. The customer is responsible for currency conversion fees, wire transfer fees and any other cost of converting foreign currency into U.S. dollars. A processing fee of up to 3% may be added to credit card payments.
These rates are provided for information only, to give you a rough idea of what interpretation or translation services may cost. They are not part of any service contract, and we reserve the right to change them at any time without notice. Besides the fees for interpretation and translation, your project may involve travel, per diem and incidental expenses, as well as charges for the rental of simultaneous interpretation equipment.
Every project is quoted individually. When preparing a quote we take into account the technicality of the subject matter, the volume of work, the location, the type of service (simultaneous or consecutive interpretation, written translation), the availability of linguists, and other factors. Simultaneous interpretation rates are per interpreter, and a minimum of two interpreters is required for any simultaneous assignment.

Charges begin when the interpreter reports to the assignment location and continue until the client releases the interpreter, whether the interpreter is actually interpreting, waiting for the client, setting up equipment or running errands for the client. The overtime rate is 150% of the applicable rate and applies to every hour of work beyond 8 hours per day. Travel time to out-of-town locations is charged at 75% of the applicable daily rate, and only daily rates apply to out-of-town assignments. Travel expenses such as lodging, transportation, parking, business-related long-distance calls and per diem are not included in the rates above. Whenever possible we assign local interpreters; if no local interpreter is available, we will, with your approval, assign the interpreter closest to your location. First-time clients may be asked for a 50% deposit on the estimated charges, with the balance due within 15 days of invoicing. Estimated travel expenses and per diem exceeding $300 must be paid in advance. If the client cancels an assignment after signing a contract, the cancellation fee is 50% of the estimated charges plus any out-of-pocket expenses we have already paid in connection with the assignment.
