For thirty years we have been putting interpreters in booths, courtrooms and conference rooms. Now we also offer something our own interpreters would have called science fiction not so long ago: live interpretation by artificial intelligence, run and supervised by Russian Interpreters Network.
Your speaker talks. A few moments later the audience hears the same words in their own language, spoken in a natural voice, without pauses and without anyone waiting their turn. English, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese or a dozen others, in any combination you need, and more than one at a time.
The difference between this and the gadgets sold online is both the technology and what happens to your voice. Most of those devices send everything they hear, your voice included, to servers abroad, often in China, where it can be stored, analyzed and sold on to whoever is buying, and a voice signature, unlike a password, cannot be changed once it has been copied. Our sessions run on our own setup, under our control, and every one of them is prepared, tested and watched from start to finish by one of our professional interpreters.
What you get
Languages we never offered before
Our name says Russian, and Russian is still what we do best. AI interpretation lets us serve an audience that speaks five languages at once, or a language for which a qualified interpreter would have had to fly in from another continent.
Your terminology, ready before you start
Product names, part numbers, job titles, the names of everyone in the room: we collect them from you in advance and make sure they come out right, the same way we have always prepared our human interpreters.
A professional at the controls
An experienced interpreter listens to both sides for the whole session. If a speaker mumbles, the sound drops or a sentence comes out wrong, you will not be the one who notices first.
Anywhere you meet
In a conference room through our equipment, over Zoom, Teams or any other platform, or on an ordinary telephone call. Your participants need nothing more than their ears.
A written record, if you want one
At your request we can hand you a transcript of the session in both languages when it ends. Nothing is kept unless you ask for it.
A price that changes the arithmetic
A conference day with a team of two simultaneous interpreters per language has a cost that organizers know well. AI interpretation is billed by the hour of session and costs a fraction of that, which makes it possible to interpret meetings that were never interpreted before.
Where it works well
- Training sessions, webinars and product presentations for an audience in several countries
- Plant tours, site visits and technical consultations where the vocabulary is narrow and the day is long
- Regular internal meetings of international teams that cannot justify an interpreter every week
- Telephone and video calls with suppliers, customers and partners abroad
- Large multilingual events, as a complement to a human team working the main languages
- Any meeting that needs interpretation today, not next month
Where we will still send a human
We have been in this business too long to pretend that software can do everything. For a deposition or a courtroom, a medical consultation, a negotiation where every nuance has a price, or a speech where the speaker's wit is the point, we will recommend a human interpreter, and we will tell you so before you spend a dollar. Quite often the right answer is both: a human team for the plenary session and AI interpretation for the twelve breakout rooms.
If you are not sure which you need, describe the event and we will give you an honest opinion.
Confidentiality
Our clients include defense contractors, government agencies and companies whose meetings are not meant for anyone else's ears, and we built this service with them in mind. Sessions are run by us, on our setup, by people bound by the same confidentiality obligations as every interpreter in our network. We do not sell devices, we do not resell anybody's subscription, and we are glad to sign your non-disclosure agreement before the first test call. Ask us how your audio is handled and you will get a plain answer in writing.
How exactly we make it work as well as it does is the one thing we keep to ourselves.
