Every serious delegation program has a cultural day, and every plant visit ends with a walk through the facility; both need an interpreter who can keep a group together, keep it informed and keep it on schedule. Our interpreter guides have escorted Russian-speaking delegations through NASA centers, shipyards, aircraft factories, hospitals, universities and the historic districts of most major American cities, and they know how to turn a docent's monologue into something a visiting group will remember.
This is consecutive work, usually on the move, often outdoors, and it calls for a particular temperament: a clear voice that carries without shouting, patience with questions, a sense of when the group needs a break, and enough general knowledge to fill the gaps when the local guide assumes everyone grew up here. For technical plant visits we assign an interpreter who understands the process on the floor; for a day at the museums, one who enjoys them.
We can also take care of the logistics around the excursion if you would like: transportation, admissions, restaurant reservations and the program for a free evening. Interpreter guides are booked by the day, with a four-hour minimum, and travel outside the interpreter's home city is billed at cost. Tell us the itinerary, the size of the group and the dates, and we will propose an interpreter who fits the program.
